Yes Dave, makes sense. I love vscode too.

The only plus I find with vim over nano is that vim is available on all linux os. — Comes into play when you aren’t managing the servers yourself.

I don’t think so, but then, go to r/vim and you’ll find pros ready to blast every noob needing just the functional bits of it.
