Why do feelings and tracking need to be mutually exclusive?

I think the part you’re referring to is tracking your feelings.

The way I see it, implications of tracking things down to our thoughts is that I get to clearly see my thoughts — or what I thought — before going through some change that alters my thinking. It enables me to see how I’ve become better and where I used to falter.

If you’re conflating tracking feelings with loss of feelings / becoming a robot, remember, they’re not the same thing.
